  • The remote MCP server is switched off. https://mcp.openapps.network/openwallet and its protected-resource metadata now return 404, as https://mcp.openapps.network/mcp already did. Remote connections move into a shared gateway at https://mcp.openapps.network/connect, where OnWallet's tools become the operations wallet.status, wallet.balance, wallet.payments and wallet.pay_x402, with openapps_status for a waiting payment. Payments are still approved and signed in the extension. This is not available yet; see the gateway docs. Until then, no AI app can pay through OnWallet by address.
  • The desktop agent is not affected by the change. It is not available to download: these pages said it could be installed with npm and Homebrew, and that was wrong. The install lines are removed until it is. Likewise @openwallet/x402-xrpl is not on npm; build it from the public source.
  • Earlier the same day, the remote MCP server moved to https://mcp.openapps.network/openwallet. The old address, https://mcp.openapps.network/mcp, no longer answers: remove the connector and add it again at the new address. Its protected-resource metadata is now at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/openwallet. The authorization server and the tools are unchanged, and so is the manifest hash the server returns in _meta. manifest.json on this site changes only in that server's url, which gives the file a new SHA-256.

  • The remote MCP server is documented as the main way to connect an AI app; the desktop agent is the Mac option.
  • The manifest lists both servers' tools. New for the remote server: openwallet_payment_status, and the errors over_limit, requirement_mismatch and request_not_found.
